What do you think is the best foundation?

At the moment, I am using Avon mousse foundation, but I find that it doesn't give me enough coverage, and it tends to wear off during the day. What I want is a medium-heavy coverage and a foundation that stays put! I also have quite pale skin, so some brands are too dark for me no matter which shade that I choose. What would you recommend for me?

Is that one a mineral powder or an 'old school' regular powder? I have heard a few good things about Mary Kay products. Could you tell me how much it costs and how long a container of it lasts?

I don't use liquid foundation I love Mineral Makeup, my favourite being Everyday Minerals which is really cheap and amazing quality. And to help make it stay you just need to get a primer for your makeup, a lot of people like the smashbox one, but I'm sure there are a lot of good ones out there.
And I have like white skin and was able to find my perfect shade on everydayminerals.com because you can order a free sample kit which allows you to try 3 foundation colours. Plus they have 4 different foundation coverage strengths, so you just order for whatever you personally need.
Mineral foundation is so much healtheir for your skin, plus it never looks like I'm wearing any makeup at all, just that I have amazing skin :P

Thanks for the link, that site looks like it should have a good foundation for me :) I have tried mineral makeup before and I just can't seem to put it on right, do you have any tips for me? When I tried applying it before, my face looked really powdery and patchy.

i like just plain oil free cover girl liquid foundation in soft honey. then i top it off with a cover girl loose powder of soft honey also.

well right now i'm using maybelline face powder... it works best for me and i've already tried a number of brands unfortunately, it doesn't give positive results to my face... :)

I don't use liquid foundation; I use BareEscentuals loose powders.... it blends amazingly and is healthy for your pores. It's so lightweight and so completely covering that you forget you've got it on, and you can sleep in it, it's so beneficial to your skin. :) It's low maintenance and really nice. Also it has SPF in it. Give that a shot!
