In my opinion, Kaspersky is the best antivirus around. It can catch all sorts of viruses, worms, and all types of malwares and spywares. It is tested against Norton, McAfee, Nod 32, Avast. It gives best results.

Not anymore. Haven't you heard the news? Most viruses are now Kaspersky proof. I think you should get a backup just incase. Try AVG. It's pretty good. Happy Mylotting.

I am currently using Bit Defender Total Security and I can assure you that this one works like magic. It doesn't load up your computer like other anti-virus softwares it's as if it weren't there at all. It can sniff up the most notorious virus or malware even new ones. I'd say go for bit defender :)

I've used Bit Defender...but was repeatedly attacked by worms and backdoor trojans. Screwed me to the core!!

What? BitDefender was voted top 1 in the Top Ten Anti-Virus of 2009 followed by Kaspersky. Well I have my luck since I have not experienced any attacks so far.

I am using avast and kasperskey anti virus for our systems . But it is not possible for any anti virus to detect and remove all of the virus and other internet threats. We may need to change many anti virus software to find and remove the virus ,if we want to avoid formatting of the system. I have uninstalled and installed even 6 software to detect the virus in my system .Even then they failed to find and finally I formatted the system. Also most of the anti virus software freezes the system while they are getting updated and this is highly irritating us. So far I have tried with 18 anti virus software totally in a year, for three of my systems. But I can't say any one as the best and also as worst.Every one is capable of identifying some virus and as the threats are increasing in their count every day, the anti virus software vendors are struggling to find the solution. I have given the download links of more than 30 anti virus software here .. Please make use of it if you want.. http://earnforbrowsing.blogspot.com/2009/05/normal-0-false-false-false_23.html

Agreed! There is no such antiivirus which can detect every virus. And these days, the only solution to cleaning your PC is formatting it regularly.

I'd say it's AVG. I use it and it's pretty good. Kaspersky could be better but now, many viruses are now Kaspersky proof.

Yes, you are right. MOst of the viruses are now Kaspersky proof. And now there so many FUDs out in market, in a few days there won't be any antivirus that would detect any worms.

in my opinion we need different type of anti virus based on what we use or do with our computer. for example if we just playing games with our computer we can just use a low requirement antivirus such as avast free edition. for computer of this type of used i reccomended to use without on access scanning because it may slowing down you gaming performance. o for those who usually used their computer for online or office work, i recommended that out should use a anti virus with a on-access scanner and online security. it may prevent stolen data from your computer, network attack and phishing. for this type of usage i prefer to use kaspersky internet security 2009 and because it ma provide us with safe environment with our computer.

Yea, I agree. It all depends on application and usage of systems. I too rate Kaspersky for business purposes. Thanks for response!
