Ok during the last week of May, I passed their initial 1st interview. Last week on Thursday, I passed their 2nd FINAL interview. According to this guy, the next step was: We want you to start training. We will call you later today or tomorrow so you can come in and fill out an application for the training process. Well, today is Monday, no call, nothing. So I called them this afternoon and spoke to a woman, told her the story, she said she would try to get a hold of the two hiring managers and call me back. It is now night time, no call, nothing. Regardless, I called back and left a message. Now my final step is going to be to give them one final call tomorrow morning. You don't think they changed their mind about me, do you? I mean in the 2nd interview, the guy who talked to me still expressed he has great confidence in me and that he sees potential and wants to give me a shot so..... I don't get it?

there are criteria to be considered in job hiring process. there is a big possibility somebody got a higher score than you and God knows on what area. there are situations that cannot be controlled and my best advised for you is not to expect too much. accept one opportunity at a time and use your survival instinct to choose which job will help you most for your cost of living.

darlene, I don't think you understand what I mentioned. I passed the first AND second interview. The guy told me SPECIFICALLY he will give me a shot and let me do the training process which is the next step. So I don't get what is going on here, my guess is they're trying to fit everyone in their training schedule slots, I don't know?

Don't call them, go visit them. You know where they are, you know who to talk to so go see them. Face to face is better for you and you have a better bet at them not fobbing you off. Don't accept "he/she is not available at the moment" ask when will they be available and wait. If they are busy all day stick around til the end of the work day and see if you can catch them when before they go home. I say this as an experienced recruiter. I've had many candidates who have been told at interview they wil be hired then hear nothing, usually because the interviewer/hiring manager is very busy. It also shows keeness and shows youe interest to work for the company. I've also heard of hirers who wait for candidates to contact them to see who actually wants the job rather than being told they have the job.
