I have a DSL connection from Verizon 1 mb/128 kb. It is a little bit slow to my liking but our area provider is not currently offering a better plan. Besides, this connection is unlimited internet without no caps or limits to how much downloads or how many GB of info one can have per month. I already inquired about having the cable broadband internet plan, which according to their flyers will give me a faster connection. Very tempting. However, upon research, I found out that while it will indeed provide me faster internet connection, it does have a limit on how much GB of information one can do for a month. I like to download a lot of things from the internet so I guess that plan will not do good with me. And besides, cable broadband connections are usually shared, meaning that while it can definitely give you a faster connection, that is usually not the case. It all depends on the users on the neighborhood because if they also used a lot, your connection will also be affected. As compared to having the DSL,the connection is dedicated only to your line meaning that whatever your neighbors internet usage might me, your line is not affected. I would really love to have the Fiber Optics Internet deal but maybe I just have to wait, whenever it became available.
