Since my next paperback book is My Sister's keeper I found out two things, by the time I knew the paperback existed, commercials of the book's movie were being shown on tv. So that got me thinking a little. Should I read the book or watch the movie? What's on everyone's reading wishlist? Is is a movie yet? Was it a movie? And what did you do first, watch the movie or read the book? Thanks

Yesterday I got to thinking and wanted to start reading The Emigrants by Vilhelm Moberg again. It's actually spelled with an E. We don't have the whole series though and I think that we would need to get a newer copy of the first book. I think it has been a movie, and I'd like to watch the movie but after we read the book!

It is a very interesting book about pioneers really. Very fun to read and really takes you back in time too.

I already read all the books that was on my wishlist. I would love to see the other books of The Bourne series. I’ve read all of it and it’s really nice if it’ll become a movie. looking forward.. I am reading one of Robert Ludlum’s books and hoping that there would more movies of his works. It’s really nice.

well they are two movies im waiting to be made. one is battle royale first a japanese book made to a japanese movie and then being remade to be a hollywood one but i think it stopped production because of the school shooting before with a korean kid. But dunno what happened to it now the other one is a russian book by sergey lukyayenko watch series, book then russian movie then hollywood movie in 2011 or 2012 i think. a fantasy series book like harry potter and twilight but for more mature readers. i have read then watched "a walk to remember by nicholas sparks" and youll be dissapointed if there are so many differences if you read the book first. but if you watched it first then youll be astonished by some scenes you didnt see in the movie that is in the book

I have a few books on my reading wishlist, however, I do not think any of them have been made into a movie, or will be anytime in the near future.

Well that can be good too, rarely do movies follow a book exactly as it is.

I recently went to a talk and book signing by Jodi Picoult, who wrote My Sister's Keeper. She is annoyed at the film version of her novel, as it is very different to the book and she said they even changed the ending and she told the director not to do that! So I would say read the book first, to get the true story. Some books are better films than books - Bridget Jones, Harry Potter, etc. - but others are good in both (Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day, Pride and Prejudice, Twilight).
