I guess you're so lucky. In our college, we were not allowed to bring tape recorders or any recording devices. Or else, we will have an early meeting with the Student Disciplinary Office.

Boring classes? Take coffee in the morning, or right before the class! (And make it strong, brewed coffee, so you can stay awake.) Eating is an activity done outside the classroom. Relaxing too. Doesn't your professor feel offended? You're in school to listen to the lectures so you can learn. You may not see how it's important now, but it might help you a lot in the future. And think of the good you can do to your country if you're able to use the information you get from those classes.

when i was in college even i used to retire to the back bench during the boring classes but still classes are important, so i used to keep writing and making notes. when we write while listen then things don't remain that boring and the alertness also remains. try making notes while listening, in that ase no class would seem boring.

When I was in college, I normally just sat in the back and drew all over my notebook paper during my boring classes. At least my pen was moving...the instructor didn't know whether I was taking notes or doodling. lol It made the class period more bearable when I did that.

I tried to, hehe...Honestly, it all depends on the subject matter and on the professor. There were times when the whole class was very lively and engaging. Then, there were times when the most of the class were half asleep. It is even worst if it's raining and gloomy outside! I also love to sit in the last row where the chairs are near the wall. In that way, I can always lean on those walls, open my notes or books and pretend that I am reading or following the lectures.
