India

My aunt came to my city and when she got off onto the platform....she saw a poor looking girl crying ........when asked why, she told that her father is real brute and was going to sell her to someone.......these things happen here in poor families... My aunt is a teacher ...couldn't control herself and bought her to my place....told about her gave her food to eat.....i didn't like that.....my food.....while she was eating we were in the other room disscussing what to do......best was give her to orphanage......when my aunt went to tell her this...KABOOOOM...she was noere to be seen and my aunt's bag was also gone..... We did find her...my aunt still had a soft corner for her so we didn't call the cops and took her back to the station and left her there... My neighbor is a reporte in a local newspaper......so next day the story was in the paper........and we found ourselves in deep cop trouble..... So don't help anyone you founf on the station...Thats LIFE!!!

there is a saying, "No good deed goes unpunished" I guess this would apply here. But think of what your aunt would have gone through if she had not done anything. She would have beat herself up with guilt for days. Another way to look at this is that there is no way you can foresee how your kindness effects the girl. Maybe she will look back on this a time when someone was kind to her and it may change her life, you can just never tell how far reaching an act like this will go. Blessings

I don't agree with my aunt's philosophy.......so i won't agree with you.....she was on 13....would have forgotten the incident by now.......My aunt gets us all in trouble......has done it before....did it this time....and will do it in the future.....I am kind of a person who has a philosophy.."Ignorance is bliss"...

I have found that ignorance can kick you in the backside if not corrected.

Agreed Pat. This young girl may not learn it instantly, but I bet later on down the road she'll think about it and learn. She may even find herself later paying back the Aunt she stole from. We can hope she learns sooner then later, but any learning is better then no learning. And I agree, ignorance soon runs out of steam. Namaste-Anora

Oh my goodness that just tells you that you can't trust anyone at all. Sorry for all the trouble that this experience put you in. I hope your Aunt as learned that you can't always be that nice unfortuntely, but God bless your Aunt for having such a good heart.

HI, isn't that a shame u can't be nice to some folks. I GUESS THAT'S THE WAY THE LITTLE HOODLUN supports herself instead of getting out & finding a job. I am glad your aunt got her bag back, she was lucky there. I DON'T UNDERSTAND why y'all got in trouble but there is alot of things i don't understand about people . I guess that goes on alot in the city. Glad i live in a small town where there is not a whole lot of meaness going on. HAPPY DAYS TO U.

Harsh- Though it is an unfortunate situation, perhaps that was her way of surviving though one I don't personally condone. Perhaps your Aunt knows that even though this young lady stole from her that she did what was right for her own life. Sometimes we help people in this life, be it with food or even friendship and they steal from us be it literally or emotionally. We can only look upon those times as that this person needed something more then we did. And in the process we've gained a very powerful experience in our life that will teach us something if we look closely enough. This is one of those life experiences I was referring to in your other thread about the kiddnapping. These types of experiences are not unique, and occur to many people but that doesn't mean we should stop helping people. It means we need to figure out how to help more so that these children do not have to turn to lives of crime. Namaste-Anora

its not that bad, to say that you are not hurt physically. i do know something really worse which will make you never help anyone if i would say it on mylot. only one thing to tell: when you are gonna help someone, make sure that he or she will NOT HURT you in the first place.
