Are you talkative?

I'm. My teachers have always complained to my parents that i'm talkative and ask them many questions distracting other students. But now that i've grown up i keep a check on what I speak. But when i'm stress out i become talkative. Many people don't understand and think i'm over reacting for things and am annoying them. At times i just blurt out things i shouldn't have mentioned but i put the matter in a jovial tone that no one seems to bother. But i do feel guilty, later when i discover that my words might have hurt somebody! So are you talkative If yes, do share your experiences.

LOL. THat is why i said it is sometimes annoying too. I have this girl at my workspace who keeps chattering and does not listent to others and others treat her like an entertainment piece. I feel sad for her but she simply doesn't seem to understand the fact! LOL :)

god i hate self centred people like that, those who stop long enough to pretend to listen and be interested in what you are saying so that they can get there say, arrrgh, that really bugs me in a big way!

hmm i am not particularly talkative and i am interested in a whole range of what some would deem weird, and since i moved over here it is hard to find like-minded idividuals to interface with, and i am easily bored too. so sometimes i find myself with people who i find uninteresting and i get pretty bored. my ipod is pretty much my bestie. however when i find someone that i gel with and i am discussing my favorite topics and feel comfortable i can discuss them for ages. i also like to learn and discover new things.

Yes it is true - only when you meet like minded people you will be able to communicate to them. THanks for responding :)

Sometimes I can be when I am worried or I feel the need to talk up a storm cause I feel it is to quiet and I don't feel like quiet at that time. Otherwise I am a pretty quiet person.

Being quite is sometimes nice. I somehow can't remain quite - i love intereacting with people and probably this is why i get this title "talkative". :)

On a daily basis, no Im not talkative, especially when I dont know the people around me. Though when Im with those people who Im quite comfortable with, they know how talkative I can be.LOL I do know what you mean by hurting someone just because of a supposed joke that I said. And I do know what you mean by saying something in a joking manner that you do not know that you were already unintentionally hurting someone. I wouldnt have said that joke in the first place especially if I knew that I was going to hurt someone.

well when a person falls under the category called talkative then they forget to keep a control on what they speak. At times they just blurt out somehing and later when they shut up (if they stay mum for a while) realize that they have said something that might have hurt somebody. Remember you don't really use your logical brain when you are non-stop talking! :)

LOL, I know^_^ sometimes the train of thoughts just over spill into the other that the topic you started talking about and the last one would seem to be quite not related at all.

I am not talkative because I'm a shy person. I remember when I was studying, I didn't raise my hands even when I know the answer. I really envy those people like you who can easily share their thoughts and feelings to others. But now, I'm trying to change not too shy but also not too talkative.

And you do enjoy talking, don’t you! I know your feeling coz my son is exactly like you…he can talk nineteen to the dozen, continuously throughout the day…there is not a single minute he keeps quiet. And of course he is extremely opinionated and has to have his say on most things. His constant jabbers rattle me a lot and many a times I have just lost his cool…he has now told me to ignore him completely if I want but he just cant stop talking.

for me, i think it depends on the situation. i don't really know. personally, i feel that i'm not really the talkative sort. it's hard for me to be social initially, but if there is a topic of interest to me, even if it is a stranger, i think i could go on and on if i had things to say. i try to stop myself too at times, when i feel that i'm being a little to over talkative. but most people say i'm quiet which is true i think. i'm just usually talktative to those near to me which is very few and only if i have things to say. i don't really tend to make small talk.

I love talking...I often used to get punishment for talking in vernacular languages in school...Our teachers were very strict and they hardly allow any student talking among themselves. Then also we prefer whispering. Many of the times most of us don't bother the scolding that we used to receive from the teachers.

LOL - well i have never been punished for that. Its like they like it, but they dont like it! They used to like the innocence in my questions but they were too annoyed with my ignorance - probably! People say that even now - LOL :)

Wow! You remind me of my best friend. Teachers get angry on her for talking in class. And I am the complete opposite. I don't like talking. I can always express my feelings by writing, but never with my tongue.
