Simple but successful small businesses

We all get down in the dumps at times. If we're not here on MyLot, where do we go? I've just been thinking about small businesses. I remember back in high school, one of my classmates made chocolate candies and sold them to the whole class. By the end of the school year she was filthy rich (just kidding). But hey, it worked out. What small business REALLY works? Tutorials? Piano lessons? Arts and crafts? Baking cookies? Which one have you tried, and which one helped you earn, even for a small bit? Which one did you enjoy the most? I know it really depends on what your interests are, but hey, sharing tips and stories would really be a great help for everyone, right? Thanks very much! :D

i am working with GDI a home based business with a very small investment of $10 per month, which can make you $100 or $1000 every month and i am looking forward to it only. Hopefully, i will do the wonder in it.

Honestly I am getting just a little bit sick of hearing about GDI. Everyone says they can make money at it but that's because if they get you to sign up they get a portion of your 10 a month. I can kind of see where this might work if you had some good sales leads but selling .ws domains is stupid. How many people do you know think to themselves "oh I need a .ws domain to go along with my .com just in case someone types it in" no more likely people will go for .biz or .org. I dunno seems silly to me. I can see where people might fall for it though. I got my .com domain name for 10 bucks and a free month of hosting for the whole year. I only pay 6.99 a month in hosting. So really it's a lot of money for a domain name. I'm not trying to knock your pitch it's just I don't think it's worth it.

Well, I know at least in the US right now, unless you are marketing to upper class nothing sells... or if its an essential item. I personally hate sales. I worked in the sales field for a long time. It's tough trying to get people to buy stuff. Unless your willing to stand out side on the playground selling candies to kids (kind of creepy) I would look into something to sell that has no start up cost or selling a service. It all depends on the market really.
