Can England win 2010 World Cup?

I think England has its chances to win, but it doesn't seem too real to me. England is a good team, but there are also better teams (for instance Spain, who crushed everyone on European Cup). Anyway I wish them best of luck and highest result they can acchieve (:

The best answer to your question is: "I don't know". As at the time of posting this, Englad had already qualified in style for South Africa 2010 soccer world cup. I said the nation qualified in style because England played seven qualifying matches and won all in a row; that's splendid. England hasn't been living up to the expectation in the previous world cup tournaments (except the victory in 1966!). If that history of disappointment is to repeat itself (I hope not), then there is no way England is going to win the next world cup. For now, England is capable of winning and other countries are equally coming with an intention to win. I won't be surprised if a completely new team win South Africa 2010. Anyway, I wish England the very best of luck.

Well to qualify is one thing, however to win the world cup I actually do not see how they can do it. While the team seem to be strong in every department, they are not able to gel as a team and get the results. Look at the prospect of having Gerard, Lampard, Barry, Cole, Lenon, the midfield is one of the best in the world yet if the cannot play together. there is not chance of them winning.
