making payments with unverified paypal account

Is anyone using his/her UNVERIFIED paypal account for online shopping payments?
If you have an unverified paypal account, can you received payments from anyone?
Can you make payments for purchases on ebay.com and other websites from that account?

Why not just verify it? It only takes 6 days tops. and all you have to do is check your bank account.
