Adivce on nose rings...

Hi mylotters... I need advice. I have a nose ring and it's recently been told to me that it's part of dress code policy to cover up nose rings. I didn't know of this policy prior to making the director of HR angry (coincidentally) and I've worked here for two years. I started wearing a piece of a band aid and put it over the TINY nose stud that I have, but, not to be gross, it was icky! It smelled to me (i could smell the band aid) and it left behind a sticky residue AND most importantly gave me nosebleeds from the adhesive being on my nose all day and breathing it in....so I need advice. What are some ways I can cover it, and really I'd like to be as rebellious as possible here and cover it while making it even MORE obvious than the tiny nose stud she doesn't want exposed. Apparently, nose rings aren't an image they're looking for. BTW I will not take it out, I just can't change my whole person because of one stupid job in my life - if I take it out, I'll regret it I know I will....any ideas?

Isn't it stupid that they are worried about something as small as a nose piercing. Maybe you can play the religion card and tell them the nose stud is a part of your religion. I don't think they can descriminate against religions.

I did think about it, but these people all know me since I've worked there for 2 years already and NOW because I stepped on toes, suddenly this policy is being enforced. Grrrrrr....I did find these little rhinestones that I've been using - which coincidentally look JUST LIKE A NOSE RING LOL....we'll see what she says about those!

you can purchase small clear nose studs and even skin coloured ones. maybe one of those could work for you. hope this helped some.

They have clear one's you can put in that will blend in for that purpose. You have to go somewhere that sells piercing jewelry and they should have one.
