You can put a few tablespoons of white vinegar inside a cup with some water in your microwave oven. Turn it on for about one minute and when you open the door it will have gotten rid of some of the cooking smells. You can also do this with lemon juice. Also it will make cleaning the microwave easier.

well, that's a fantastic idea! i used to have the problem of how to get rid of the smell from the oven.calamansi i think would also do the trick since it's an acid too just like vinegar.thanks for the refresher though. i appreciate it a lot.

When I was little and I had the Hick-ups, my grandmother would give me a teaspoon of vinegar and it took away my hick-ups. It works every time!!!

really?that's a nice idea.thank you so much for it.i never knew that hiccups are halted by vinegar. i was wondering before why drinking water alone wouldn't stop that. so vinegar will be the best remedy for that.

I like to run some vinegar through the washing machine by itself to deodarize it. Takes away that stinky smell that washers get from time to time.

When I was little mom would soak a rag with apple cider venager and put it on sunburns (it also feels good if it has been in the fridge because it pulls out the heat even more). It takes the heat out as good as alovera. She has also been known to apply a vinager rag to sore muscles (warmed) The apple cider vinager also does not have a strong smell after it dries so I use it instead of regular vinager for cleaning.

Well, it depends on the type of vinegar you are referencing. If you're talking about apple cider vinegar, that is used for weight loss and to burn fat. It also has many vitamins and minerals that aid the body's digestion system. Not only that, its a powerful detoxifying and purifying agent. You can also use it in cooking, for salad dressings, marinating meats etc. Then there's your basic white or clear vinegar which as you mentioned is used for cleaning windows and the such.

Vinegar is actually fantastic for cleaning! I dont have a problem with things smelling badly afterwards - and I hate the smell of vinegar! I just dilute it for most of my cleaning. On the occassion you can smell the vinegar when you are finished cleaning, it is still way better than most chemicals! The smell is not as strong and definitely not nauseating like other things! I have also used vingear to take wall paper off. It is acidic, so it works great on sticky things!
