Can TV programs make you cry?

Its a rare occasion for me to cry watching a TV program. The few I can think of that have made me cry over the years are Doctor Who, Casanova, Skins and A Short Stay in Switzerland (I think that's what it was called). All of them due to goodbyes, two of which involved deaths. If I watch them around other people I force myself to stay dry eyed but on my own it all comes out. Is it rare for you to cry at TV programs and which TV programs have made you cry?

I rarely cry from a TV series episode. I think it's because they only have such a limited time to build up a background story that would make me cry when they pull out the tragic/romantic scene. And also because I mostly watch comedies instead of drama HEHE Thanks for the response on my discussion :)

See I think differently. Because a TV drama can build up a moment for several weeks in many episodes which I think can affect me more than if I've watched someone's life or whatever in a movie for an hour and a half. But then again there is breaks between each part of a series of course.

I can remember watching t.v with girlfriends in the past, they would cry and i would make fun of them, or use the moment to my advantage. Yesterday i was watching the movie To Sir with Love, a movie that i have seen many times, anyway, i started crying when Lulu was singing to Sir near the end. Maybe i need help, haha. There have been those moments where you get a lump in the throat or think tears are not far away, but to actually cry, thank god i was home alone.

It must be a very good movie! Haven't heard of it before! Yeah, I think I often get a lump in my throat but crying is a rarity.

Nope. Tv doesn't make me cry. It might make me feel bad but it never makes me cry.
