Scripture - Romans 1:1,7 Paul refers to himself in verse 1 as a servant of Christ Jesus and a called apostle. Then in verse 7 he refers to the epople in Rome to whom he is writing, as called to be saints. He is writing here not only to the Christians in Rome, but also to all believers. To become born again and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, has plenty of advantiges for the believer, but with this comes a responsibility as well. But this responsibility does not come forced, but rather from a thankfull heart and a deep love for our Saviour. Our responsibility is to live and speak the gospel. Through our way of life we proclaim the gospel. Our excitement about being saved usualy affects others and they want what we have, because they see joy, peace, sincerity, honesty, openess, etc. in our daily lives. If we live in a way that proclaims our love for our Saviour, and the thankfullness of our hearts, then we will be living as called saints, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus. We will not only proclaim with mere words, but with a lifestyle that confirm our salvation. May your life speak of a saving grace. It is not always easy, but as long as you stand up when you fall. Do not stay down and defeated, stand up, accept forgiveness, and move forward in the strength of our Saviour. Blessings

Jesus says that we should shine our light so that man sees it and glorified God who is in heaven. In shining our light we are to have the Fruits of the Spirit once we displayed all these in our lives then we can be able to shine our lights. Displaying love, forgiveness, etc in our society as Christians then sinners who are not save by grace or even those who are save by grace and not living according to the words of God will come to know him. I have re-started my life with God since last September and every day I asked myself why did I came out but when you are young you will do things that are contrary to the bible if there are not good guidance around you. Now I am learning more about God and his ways and seeing that all what God is asking us to do is to draw closer to him and trusting him and everything will be ok. I enjoyed reading your thoughts for day and look towards it. Have a blessed day.

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to this devotion. I cannot take any credit. What I write is what the Lord reveals to me when I read the Word. He teach me through His Word how to live, and I feel an obligation to share, just as others also share with me what they learn from the Word. May you be blessed. Ps. Put some clothes on, Cleopatra.
