Completely Unnecessary/Unwanted/Whatever Comments

So this morning I posted about MyLot in a community I'm in on LiveJournal. Basically just briefly talking about it. I figured, "why not? Someone might be interested." So far, I have had one person interested apparently (being the person joined).
As I expected, I have gotten a comment that I felt was completely unnecessary (let's just say it was an "oookay...thanks sharing. Now move along." kind of thing where someone feel the need to state something not really relating to anything directly).
Fortunately he's the only 'complaint' I've gotten so I don't think anyone else minds. It's like, okay if you aren't interested, just move on and ignore the post. I'm not looking for anything else. Oh well though.
Does this ever happen to anyone? Do you ever get comments that are completely unnecessary, such as people stating something that totally is not what you're looking for, refuses to just answer a question you ask, or anything else that you feel is unnecessary?

YEAP! Happens all the time - and I usually don't waste my time on those unnecessary comments unless I need to "educate" that person. I also don't like to waste my time on answering discussions that: 1) I'm not too concern about, 2) have a lot of posts/answers already - chances are, what I wanted to say might have been said already. If not, I'd leave a post. Otherwise - I'd rather be productive here on mylot.
So my simple advice - dirt off shoulders. Brush it off and move on. It is what it is - not everyone is going to please you and you're not going to please everyone.
P.S. Livejournal - that's a blog, yes? One of the older ones - I think (kind of like xanga). Very popular when I was in college (not THAT long ago, Class of 06). What is it about? Mind if I drop by? I like to read journals. =P

Yeah, LJ is a blog. It's been around since the early 2000's I believe. Nah, I don't mind if you drop by. It's more or less a personal blog but if you still want to read it, I'll add you as a friend and message you the link. I like reading them too lol.
