Who are your real life heroes, and what makes them heroic to you?

We have many people in our world who are considered heroic, as it should be. But my real life heroes have always been God, my parents, my family and a few very close friends. These are the people who are there without fail in times of need, the people who are a living example of love and courage. Though "unsung," they are definitely my heroes. Who are your own real life heroes, and what makes them heroic to you? Karen

one time while i was around 9 or 10 years old, my classmates and i sneaked out of the class to go swimming at a nearby beach. while swimming, i stepped into a deep whole or something, and i dont know how to swim so instead of being able to go back to shore, i could not do by myself. while i was trying to make myself float and gasping, my classmate saw me and pulled me back to the beach. her name is esther. after that, i promised myself that time i will never go swimming again without telling my parents. and so you know who my hero is... esther.

God bless Esther for having literally saved your life. That indeed makes her heroic. And true, one should never swim alone or go without letting another know where you'll be : )) Karen

Like you God is also my hero however my second hero would definitely be my mom. We are very close to each other and he's always there for me through thick and thin and accepted all my flaws and mistakes I've done in my life. Though I grew up without a father, she accepted the responsibility and took care for us. I wouldn't be the person that I am now if not for her. She would only be the real life hero for me in this world (and I guess I'd also consider my brother although we usually fight about little things hehe) okay, these two people will always be my real life heroes because I'm just complete with the presence of these two important people in my life. Although I have some friends, I really do believe family is always there for you through thick and thin.

Good moms are a true blessing. Above all people, to this day, I trust my mom completely and look up to her as a hero. I am glad you have that same thing in your own life :) Karen

What a lovely being your hero must be. It almost sounds as though it were you guardian angel. Thank you for your input. Karen
