Who is Justice - Kira or L?

I've been thinking on this subject ever since I got into the series. Who do you believe stands for true justice - Kira, who is willing to kill criminals as well as people in his way in order to create an ideal, utopian society? Or is it L (and I mean the concept, not specifically L from the beginning), who opposed the concept of killing criminals from the very beginning, despite the fact that the victims included rapists and murders who were set free or weren't convicted? I sort of like Kira's way of thinking, just killing off criminals. I mean, after all the people were being let go after they know they did some horrendous crime and would most likely do it again. And if they were sent to jail, they'd just spend the rest of their life and the tax payers' money just to be kept alive in a tiny cell. The courts can only go so far and are run by people so of course the justice system is going to make mistakes and let guilty criminals off the hook, and Kira fed off that lucky scum. And when he starts to kill those who are getting close to identifying him or catching him? I can see why he felt the need to do that. They were doing their job and trying to protect the rights of the people, but if Kira hadn't killed them, he might have been caught and other criminals he was going to kill would have otherwise lived and struck again. However, it is when he begins killing off anyone who opposes him that I start to doubt his justification. I know his point was that he would be the 'god' of a new world, but killing off people who believed differently than he only turned him into a tyranic dictator. Once he begins doing that in the series, I switch over to L's side. I had wobbled back and forth with conflicting and ambiguous feelings, but as the story progresses I move towards L's side. I want to know what you all think. Does Kira stand for justice, or does L?

I think I prefer L's sense of justice rather than Kira's. Kira will kill of anyone in his way as well as criminals, so that's innocent people being killed. I think I would rather have a few criminals set free (who will most likely get caught and arrested again) rather than innocent people killed.
