What is your Christian testimony?

In many churches, Christians are encouraged to give their testimonies- stories of when and how they accepted Jesus Christ, I.E. became a christian. Some people can't point to a specific day, because they were raised Christians and believed all their lives. But others can remember the very day they became "born again" i.e. officially accepted Christ as their savior, by saying a certain prayer or going up to an altar call (the time that some churches have for people to come to the front of the church and declare their dedication to Jesus.) I'm interested in reading people's testimonies- how did you become a Christian?

My family is already born again before I came out to this world. But the time when I become born again is when I was in 2nd year highschool. I joined youth music ministry in my church then we're having a prayer meeting that time. And at that moment I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. I thank God for my family too, because their the one who also opened my mind about Jesus.

Before I became a genuinely born again christian I had been a professing christian for about seven years.During the first seven years of professing to be a christian, I thought I was a real christian because I do what christians do like reading the Bible, attending worship services and even doing ministry work like evengelism. I realized that you can do what christians do and remained unsaved. The difference lies whether you have a born again experience or not. I had beena professing christian for about seven years but not yet born again. I became a true christian one Christmas season of 1991 when I was invited by a certain lady to have a nightly study of the Bible with her. I gave in to her invitation and during one of those nights with her the Word of God became so alive to me and made me see my utter depravity and sinful condition. I realized how terrible sinner I had become even though I had been professing to be a christian, my heart remained sinful. Then I repented of all my sinfulness and started anew with God. I surrendered my life to Christ and accepted HIm as my Savior and Lord. After surrendering to Christ, I experienced an unspeakable joy which I cannot describe nor explain. All my selfish ambitions and hatred are gone. I became so happy even though I have no money or lovelife then. Jesus became more real to me each day of my life.
