Mercy killing is supported in some places around the world. Its like killing people who are physically very sick and who are suffering with incurable diseases. In my opinion,if the person is willing to die(of course no one does so) then killing them is a good option, instead of suffering with those diseases and paying huge amounts for hospitalization and all... So friends, what is your opinion on Mercy Killing? Please share your opinions.. Thank you..

mercy killing should depend on the different situation. if the person who is very sick is willing to kill himself by some way,he is able to be carried on by other people; but if he still has the willingness to live on,he shouldn't be carried on the mercy killing despite all other people want to kill him.

I believe in mercy killing! If a person wants to die because of a terminal illness then they should be allowed to die! It would save money and the person wouldn't go through unnecessary suffering! The love ones wouldn't have to go through unnecessary suffering themselves!

With out a doubt I support mercy killing. If I'm so sick and the doctors have said there is nothing else we can do, why not. I don't want to be a burden on anyone and I rather go out on my own terms. I also believe most people don't want to be a burden on others so why not?

yes i support it.no point making someone suffer so much.there is more peace if they are put to sleep.the pain and agony is hard for the relatives and loved ones to see,so its better they should pass away without pain..

I've always believed as long as the person knows what they are doing and they are doing it for a good reason not just to die then yes I believe Mercy killing is a right a person should have.

Yes, I do support it. Why is it called "mercy killing" when it's a human but it's called "putting to sleep" when it's a dog or cat? !!!

I definitely support mercy killing. But a team of real expert doctors should say that there is no scope for improvement. Later on the dear ones of the victim should not feel that they patient might have recovered if not killed. It is a very sensitive issue, decision should be made by the patient's dear ones.

Good day.. Yes I support euthanasia in people who are terminally ill and in pain. I mean I do believe that people shouldn't be left on that kind of situation if they don't want to, it's their life and pain and I think it's not in our hands to decide for them to carry it on.

I support mercy killing but no one should ever ask another person to kill them. No need to put a friend or family member in that position. The person suffering should be given an option to be give themselves a lethal injection. What about religions? Usually its the Christians that object to things like this. However, their religion teaches thou shall not murder. That means that some sort of wrath or malice was involved. Mercy killing is totally different than murder.

if people or loved ones suffers from illnesses that are incurable i would support mercy killing. for sure i don't want to lay as a vegetable and would want someone to have MERCY on me and pull the plug of life support. there is no greater pain than watching someone you love in agonizing pain. But on the other side of the coin, to do a mercy killing is asking someone to commit a crime, that is not right either. what is important for me is not the cost of hospitalization but the value of human life. as there is no price for life, if it still can be cured then there's no sense in doing a mercy killing. Hence, mercy killing can be done only on extreme circumstance such as incurable illness or when such person will be a vegetable for the rest of his life.

I can't say support or not.But I think it must depend on the feeling of the person who is suffering with diseases and willing to die.

it is so sadness to discuss such a topic.i had to agree that modern medisine is advanced.but the medical scientist cannot deal with the cancer effectively ever. no body can understand the patient`s pain,no body can realize the meaning of their lives.the doctor konws the result, the patient would be daed, and his family would be impoverish. so i support MERCY KILLING!!!

Every thing in life has two sides to it. I support mercy killing per se…if I were paralyzed for life, I would not want to continue like that…being a financial, physical and burden to my family with no hope of being cured ever. Some say we are taking God’s decision in our own hands, but isn’t technology doing just that in almost all spheres? So if indeed it is my life, the decision should be mine to, as to whether I want to go. However, the bad side is that many terminally ill patients are not in a position to indicate their choice properly….they either cannot talk, or are not conscious or in come…so in that case, the relatives take the decision without ever getting the chance to ask the patient anything. Also, unscrupulous relatives may take advantage of the situation and in connivance with doctors, get rid of a wealthy relative for money and property.

I don't support Mercy Killing. I believe there's a time to end everyone's life. If it's God's will for a person to die, He will end up his life and not for anybody else to do it. Though for the continuous hospitalization of a patient for a financially hard up family, it would be up to them to decide.

i think its cruel to kill someone especially our loved ones. if i was the one who is suffering id prefer to die rather suffer the pain. i belive in God and we as human beings do not have any rights to take anybody's life(including their own lives). So in my opinion i think we are meant to suffer the pain. who knows, miracles can also happen. So leave it to God who created us, only he has every right to create and destroy. i know, its pretty easy for me to say that, but we need to bear it all. This is my view ,dsharat.

hi dsharat... this is a very controversial discussion......in India the government is against mercy killing or euthanasia....as the law says that before going for euthanasia the person has to take permission from he president of India.....then only mercy killing can be done......i support mercy killing but i should be done only when there is no other option left for that person survival......a expert panel of doctors should do a through enquirer into that matter and then should go for mercy killing......
