Puppy got hit by a Car?

I've never had a puppy hit by a car. I did have an adult dog that was unfortunate enough to get hit by one though. It was pretty gruesome(her eye came out!) but she survived the ordeal.

I had one run into the side of a moving bus. I had to treat here for shock but she recovered after a few days.

i never experienced having a puppy being hit by a car before because i always keep my puppy indoor when i have one in the past... i don't want to bring her outside for fear that i might lose her because she runs really fast... i hope your puppy is alright and will get well soon... good luck... take care and have a nice day...

When we were younger we had a puppy that got hit by a car. I probably was about 5 or 6 because I can remember it and it was at our old house before we moved. I saw it got hit but I was on our porch so i just saw the back of the car as it hit the dog. It was only a few months old. I guess the lady kept trying to avoid the puppy but it was confused so when she swerved he kept running in front of her while trying to get away from her. After that my mom never let us get a dog again. I didn't understand it though till now we have kids and my daughters cat ran away. She was so heartbroken it broke my heart, so I could only imagine what my mother must have felt seeing her two little girls crying over their puppy that got hit by a car.

Moochie got under a jeep. I don't know but he survive. My sister told me that he went under the tire but i guess because of the speed, the pressure is less considering that the tired was on top of his stomach. He was trembling afterwards and catching some breath. He organ just won't get it inside and his body was all muddy. Mom thought he wouldn't make but he is still alive now and healthy, thank God.

Well, I've got a pet dog. She has never been hit by a car and I hope that she never has to experience that. She was almost ran over by a bicycle before though, and that got me all jittery so I can't imagine what would happen IF she were to be hit by a car. You should get your dog to a vet as soon as possible. She could have hurt her leg in the accident. Don't delay treatment. Take her to the vet as soon as it opens. I pray for the safety of your puppy.

I have not, but my mother has and she said her puppy die instantly. She said it was a cute puppy too.

That is really sad to read about Anybody getting hit by a car is sad, but a puppy is just too much to comprehend I have never had this happen, but I have never owned a dog before. I am more of a cat person, thankfully none of my cats ever got hit by a car though.

My mom had a pup that got hit by a car some years ago. He survived, but both of his back legs were paralyzed. He was very active just the same though. He loved chasing a ball. Are you positive there are no emergency vets in your area? I didn't know there was one in my area until I looked it up online one day. I hope your puppy will be okay. Good luck!

Well, I don't have a puppy got hit by a car. But yesterday evening, I did witness a similar case when I was walking. A puppy was running under the wheel of a bicycle and got hit. It must hurt because it screamed loudly. Fortunately, it wasn't very serious for it could stand up and walk slowly.

Never had a dog hit by a car. Poor thing, I hope she will be ok. My mom did have her dog jump out the car window and get dragged by the leash while she pulled over. The dog was pretty banged up but survived and healed well.
