I'm a Filipino and I wonder how many of us here at myLot have been to my country, the Philippines. Even I myself have yet to fully explore my country but I have seen a lot of places here that are truly one of a kind such as Cebu, Bohol, Baguio, Palawan, Batanes, Camarines Sur, Boracay and of course, Manila (capital city). Any wonderful or sad experience? I'd love to hear from you.

Hi, Philippines indeed have lots of wonderful place to travel to. It's just sad that most Filipinos never get to see them for themselves because of how expensive some destination areas are. It's only the vacationing foreigners are able to really relive those vacation spots and enjoy the beauty our country holds.

I haven't yet been to the Philippines but hope to do some a few years from now. It is a tropical country so that attracts me. I know the local people are really friendly. I would be so happy to do some island hopping and snorkeling there. I would fly into Cebu and then catch a ferry over to Bohol to visit the Chocolate Hills. I would probably wish to fly over to Palawan because of the distance. There would be so many more great places for me to see I am sure.

I didn't travel there. I was born there. Subic Bay back when there was a U.S. military base there. My father was stationed there with the USMC. Timing is everything! lol. Would love to go back some day to see it all. I'm sure it's much different now than it was when I was born. My mother told stories of poverty, poor sanitation. Stuff like that. We had a girl take care of the house and me. My mom said I spoke Tagalog before I spoke English! Mabuhay!
