Do you think that the food we eat affects our mood everyday. in a way i feel that food affects our mood. but i consider our situation in life mostly affects our mood and food only only share a small percentage in affecting our mood. i think that when we have good situation or experience that we feel so happy about our situation and that every thing that we will do throughout the day will be done happily too and that we will have a good mood throughout. so how the way you start the day affects your mood the whole day. or was it possible that you start with the good and still in the middle of the day that you lose it and end up having a bad temper and not any more motivation to do what you were currently doing. i admit that my mood determines mostly how i will behave and how much work i will do in the day. if i am in a very bad mood i can't get myself to work and do my normal responsibilities at my place. and every thing seems impossible to do no matter how simple it is . so i do hope that my mood will always be a good and pleasant one cause i want to be more productive in life every day.

I think there's one thing that will affect most of our mood, and that will be money.Once we have money, our mood will eventually be good, but once we have money issues, our mood will definately be affected.

i agree with you about your mood determining how you behave and how much work you do in a day, it's the same for me. most of the time, my mood is determined by how much sleep and the quality of sleep i get. If i have less sleep i get cranky. if i toss and turn the whole night, the moment i wake up, it's the end of a good day.

I couldn't agree with you more . If I had a good quality of sleep the night before ,I would be more energetic and active on that day ,and easier to control my moods. So I would be more productive and effective on my work. But unfortunely for me ,the facts are the other way around. So I always lose my temper and feel unhappy in my daily life.Maybe I need to change my lifestyle,Though it will be hard for me to acomplish.

I think that what we eat do have some effect on the way we feel. I love food and if I do not eat well, I feel sluggish and irritable. hehehe! I am especially grumpy when I am hungry and tired.

i used to be moody in a very extreme way but as they say as time goes by you tend to see the brighter side of everything. what really triggers my moods are mostly arguments(senseless that is), people who cannot decide on their own, people who do stupid things at the expense of others.

I guess food can affect our mood if its not good and healthy; but what affects my mood the most is the weather. I feel lousy and gloomy at times when its raining for days. I love to see it pour from time to time but not everyday. When its too hot outside you can hardly walk without a bottled water or an umbrella, its scorching and it hurts in the skin... that kind of stirs my irritability... I can't entertain too many questions or distractions. Friends, family or loved ones can also influence the way you see things, you tend to cheer-up when you're together coz you laugh about stuff. Of course it also makes you sad to see them sad... I believe everything outside yourself can influence a behavior but it's up to you to make the change and follow the course where it should lead.

I think it is usually underlying things in our lives, maybe not even the things we are actually thinking about and then some little thing that seems to be so unimportant can change ones whole mood and way of thinking...

Hi Hotsummer, Food certianly plays a very important role in our life. If you are hungry, no matter what you do, you don't feel enjoyable, you feel that is a torture for you. I have a friend, he is a very nice person when he is not hungry, but when he is hungry and he did not eat food on time, he will be very grumpy, can't focus on work, can't foucs on talking! So to me, food affects my mood. Besides food, other things like work, friend, family fair will affects my mood too.

My mood is greatly affected by my Thyroid Condition. I used to think that my mood swings are normal until last year when my doctors explained to me that these mood swings are effects / features of my Thyroid Disorder. Since I had my surgery last year, I have somewhat laid low. I make sure that I take my meds on time and that I take them everyday. I get terribly cranky and easily burst when I miss my medicines. I do my best to control my mood swings. I think at most instances, I have been quite successful with it, but there are times when I feel that I am about to explode especially when situations are aggravated by annoying people. Sometimes, my monthly period also adds up to these moods. I truly avoid getting disappointed and getting angry because it takes hours or days before I get back into a good mood.
