Every student have mixed feelings when it comes to the first day of classes. How about you? How's your first day of classes at UST? As for me, i was rather have mixed feelings because not only i'm happy that i can have allowances, see my friends and professors, enjoy the sights, but also that i'm nervous about my section's improvement (i'm currently 4th year) and my performance in my last academic year as well. Happy mylotting!

Well, I guess my first day at UST was very interesting. I'm currently enrolled as an Asian Studies major and I'm on my freshmen year. I must say that I was excited to go to college; to be able to meet new people and see the beautiful views within the premises of UST. Most of my classmates were very shy for the first time. In fact, I was the one who needed to talk and talk and talk. I'm really not a shy person so I didn't have a hard time making friends on the first day. Now, it's my 2nd week at UST. I've got a bunch of friends that I go with everyday. It really is fun to socialize and get to know people of different personalities. I hope I could graduate in UST and at the same time be with my friends whom I were with since our first day.

Oh so you enroll at AB, i'm also at the same faculty/college as well taking AB:Economics (don't get confused with BS:Economics from the College of Commerce). And it's true that the freshmen students are usually shy during their first few days of their first year because new students are don't know the people around them at his/her section and they're just got out of their comfort zone from high school. (which is true to most students but it's not true in my case because i was bullied often from my batch which i don't know what is their reason of doing this in the first place so i want to get away from high school as far as i can). But it's nice to have good friends in college and work very hard for your academics! Good Luck!

Is it required to wear your uniform on the first day of classes or you could just wear civilian clothes? I'm quite confused because some of my friends told me that i should wear my uniform but some also told me that i should wear civilian clothes or else i would look stupid or nerdy on the first day :(

Oh i see, i remember during the first day of my 2nd year that some of my professors were absent on the first day of classes its either they're busy on other things or due to the infectious "summer break syndrome" or "sem break syndrome" which the whole class of my section were doing whatever they want although they disturb the other section in the process. thank you for sharing your thoughts!

My firs day in UST was just fine. I was kinda shy to talk to my blockmates and stuff. My course is Information Technology under the Faculty of Engineering. We did this EXCITE thingy which the ESC(Eng stud council) implemented this AY 09-10 for the freshmen students. It stands for experience to be a cool and ideal thomasian engineer. They made us play games and interact with each other. Thy toured us around the Building and stuff. and even told us the rule that when the prof is 15 minutes late you can all leave LOL!
