I see some people, as said in the title, get so much responses. What do you think is their secret? I think they are bloody chea... no err I mean they are smart people who are smart taggers and come up with smart subjects... what do you think?

Lol, no jealousy? I think they are probably able to think of topics which lots of people are interested in and that they post at a time when many myLot people are logged on to the site and are therefore more likely to post a response. They may also be very active and have good relationships with other myLotter's and therefore get a good number of responses out of loyalty.

Do you think they really have contact with their whole friends list? Well, I've got contact with 2 or 3 people only, would that be really a big factor? I think you are right indeed about the popular subjects which I already mentioned in my first post. Cheers.

I don't mean personal contact, more that they regularly make an effort to respond to topics posted by their friends.

Uhm... you talking about uhm... me? What defines success? All I do is be here almost every day, well that's every day unless I'm away with no internet connection. I am available for anyone who wants to PM me with queries, advice, anything that I can help with. I have been here over two years and I have friends on my list that date back to when I first joined and I keep in touch with them though I do not respond on all their discussions as that is impossible. I welcome new users and get to know them, especially the fun ones. It makes no difference what age they are and indeed some become my myLot nieces and nephews. I 'barge in' whenever I see them on other discussions and leave a comment for them thus giving them the chance to respond (and earn a bit more) and maybe that makes them happy. I have a lot of FUN and most users, old and new are aware of that. As for my discussions, I start very few but they keep coming back to life even though they may be over a year old. The topics don't date and maybe that helps. Then I always comment back to whoever responds and leave something that they can come back and respond to again. Most of the Lotters who have been on my discussions know that too and maybe that helps. Tags are important and I do 'bump' my old discussions by leaving a comment on them which gives them visibilty again and new users who were not aware of them sometimes respond giving them the chance to receive even more responses. Contrary to what many think, there is no need to start lots of discussions. It's enough to keep a discussion moving with comments back and forth and it will stay in the limelight for weeks, even months on end. I never forget a face and can relate to almost all of the users on my friend list. There is always something I remember about them and many know that. When a friend goes missing for more than a usual time then I try and find out if anything is wrong either by leaving a comment somewhere for them and/or through PM. Basically I have made myLot my online 'nest' and just as I feel at home here I try to make others feel at home too: I have fun and in my opinion that is what comes first and foremost here. The earning part follows when you stop counting how many posts you are makng and how high your numbers are. I'm the same offline too. I have no problem mingling with my son's friends or with people my age and all those in between. I try and avoid conflicts online and off as life is too short and why come here if not to have fun. If you really think that I'm a successful Lotter then I hope some of that can help but there are many others before me who helped both when I was new and during the months that followed. Without them I would not have felt at home here and continued and that is all I try and pass on to others when I am Lotting Oh and Mike can confirm that I clash with some new Lotters! We had a tiff at one point but through it we became friends and 'work' together on some aspects of Lotting, combining our 'experiments' which we both then pass on to those interested in reading them. That's another fun aspect and that's waht it ALL adds up to - fun, fun and more fun otherwise there would be no point in being here!

Does saying: I am the worst mylotter make me modest too? :(
