Marines fight for our freedom yet they have none!!!

My boyfriend is a united states marine and i cant wait till the day his stupid contract is up. I get that its not your typical job and that it a great thing to do, to fight for your country and all. I also understand someone has to do and they are fighting for our freedom, blah blah blah! I can deal with him being stationed 7 hours away from me. I can deal with him being out in the field training all day unable to contact him, I have even excepted the fact that they are going to send him the the other side of the world for seven months and there is a chance he may not vome back to me. But I am sick of and tired of the way they control every little aspect of his life. He requests off for leave and sometimes doesnt find out if he is approved till the day he is suppose to leave. They are constantly changing his schedule last minute, they even made him stay on base through an entire weekend by himself because his platoon was staying in the field and even though he didnt have to go with him they decided it was unfair to let him have his weekend off when they didnt. He loves his job and wanted to re sign but if he wants to stay with me there is not a shot in hell i'll allow it. You would think the men and women risking thier lives for our freedom should maybe get a little freedom themselves and not be held prisoner in thier own country during the small ammount of time they have to actually spend with there loved one. I have even begged him to take a dis honarable discharge id rather be married to a felon then a marine.
