When did you take your entire family for a vacation?

A family vacation is what we all took to the lush green resorts of timber trail in the foothills of himalayas! It was sweltring heat and it certainly provided a break from the dull, boring, drab and stale life of city to the kids, who atonce plunged into the crystal clear waters of the lake below the falls!

A couple of years ago my husband and I took our two oldest kids to Seattle for Memorial Day. I was pregnant with our youngest at the time. The experience made me decide this. Vacations are much easier when kids are a little older, sleep in normal beds, and are potty trained. Our girls were 2 and 1 when we went. Having to stop and try to change a diaper in a packed car in the middle of nowhere, getting special cribs from the hotel, trying to feed them with no real place to sit. Not to mention trying to get them to go to sleep. But even with all that aggravation, it was totally worth it. Watching their little faces light up when we went to the aquarium in Seattle or when we drove to the coast so they could play in the ocean. It was amazing and they loved it!!
