Life is what we make it

Hello, it's my first day here and I thought I would just like to make this declaration about life. Some people believe that life is based on luck, that it is based on what the Divine Providence wills it to be, that life is already written in your fate, but i dare say that life after all is what we make it. It's how you imagine it to be, and how you work your way to realize what you dream your life will be. There are no short cuts. Sure some body may win the lottery and become rich overnight but do you think he wil win if he did not buy a lottery ticket? Anyway, this is just a ticker. Please write here your thoughts on the argument. have a nice day everyone!

maybe case to case basis. what about those handicaps especially in the philippines where there is no financial support from the govt. how do you expect them to make choices if they don't have support system.

I still maintain that life is what we make it even to the physically challenged persons. You may choose to just sit down and drown in your disability or choose to make a difference. There are so many examples of those with physical disabilities who refused to just stay in the sidelights and made a niche for themselves in this world. And we can also say that it is not just the responsibility of the government to support them but they also have the support system of their families and loved ones. It's a matter of making themselves heard so that even those in the government will take notice. And we cannot say also that there is no support system really in the government even in the Philippines. There is already a legislated law for the disabled persons and their welfare. And this law could not have been possible without the work of those concerned physically challenged persons. Just goes to show that there are really those who refuse to take things sitting down but even if they have infirmities they chose to make a life for themselves which is worthwhile and worth emulating.

i am aware of such law but i don't think is implemented nationwide. if it does, maybe only certain parts of the phils. of course the support of the family should always be there but the thing is, the establishments are not accessible for these people and its very much obvious in the phils and also it cant be denied the discrimination is very high.
