Watching people.

My husband and I people watch wherever we are, but the beach is a great place for it. we love to see people enjoying themselves, and everyone seems to be happy on the beach. We take books with us, but we hardly ever read them. Our favourite beach where we live in Spain has parking right on the edge of the beach. We take our camper van and park it there, so we can eat our picnic without getting sand everywhere. Also, when we've had too much sun, we can cool off in there. Good topic.

For me, the best thing about being at the beach is the sound of the waves, the saltly scent of the air, and the feeling of the sand beneath your feet. Watching the wildlife is also good. You can see some great sunsets at the beach on a clear day. I have walked along a beach at night and the view of the stars is fantastic. Beaches are great places for thinking and reflecting on things.
