I enjoy watching vampire movies, every now and then I get a variety of vampire movies and make a night of it. Yesterday I again watched, Brahm Stocker's Dracula (one with the magnificent Gary Oldman) and 30 Days of Night, next is Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. My question is this, do you like the change that has happened to the vampire genre over the years with the exception of Nosferatu, the early vampire movies had Dracula in tux, Interview with a vampire was the continuation of that elegant and smooth style, Dracula with Gary Oldman was the more primal. Then there is Blade who is just a force of nature, past John Carpenter's Vampires through to Twilight where the vampires are gentler. What is your favourite type of vampire movie, and your favourite scene.

I love vampire films too. I have seen the original Dracula with Bela Lugosi, Nosferatu - the great silent film, plus the Christopher Lee films where he starred as Dracula and then more recently Twilight. I enjoyed all of those, but I really didn't like the Bram Stoker's Dracula film version with Gary Oldman. I felt the tone was wrong and many of the actors were rather weak. I think Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee had the right look and costume for the role, though Nosferatu was the scariest version.

well i just watched the twilight movie and i like the story of movie , theres a good a bad vampire , the good vampire are always there to protect his love one, what i really like in the scene is when robert patinson is flying and fighting with the bad vampires, in the brahm stocker's dracula its not really scary but the story is really amazing coz the vampire is falling in love with the girl wynona rider.

i like horror movies that are fresh and natural...i dont like movies like that have unbelievable logic in it..for example take sixth sence..even though it is not come under a horror category it is a fun to watch..other movies like shutter ring were also fine... so movies that are natural and quite believable are prefered by me.. have a great day

I'll have to agree that Nosferatu is a classic, with all the mirrors effects... truly a gorundbreaking movie, but I'll go with something with more action like Underworld and Blade. As far a Brahm Stocker's Dracula, I found it very interesting and different from all the vampire versions we look at this days. Twilight: Liked the way they portrayed the vampire as caring and drinking only non-human blood, but I prefer the blood sucking ones! haha... Also a favorite is Van Helsing, that involves Frankestein and werewolves (bs?). The truth is that I'll take any well done vampire movie, no matter the type... I just love them! Happy Mylotting and have a nice day! Xp
