finally finished it

after 2 long yrs i finally finished my dads fathers day gift. Its my biggest project and needless to say im proud of it! It might not look very big (14"x 12") but there were so many colour changes to deal with, mainly blues and greys. so many stitches of the same colour dotted here and there and then what seemed like never ending blocks of dark blue. I almost gave up, but looking at the end result im glad i didnt! I even saved myself about £30 by framing it myself with a frame that only cost £7.50. It was a lot of hard work but definitely worth it!

Congratulations!!! I love cross stitching for others. I've only kept a few items i've stitched for myself. Last Christmas I gave magnets I had cross stitched to my boyfriend's family. They all loved them and were genuinely impressed by the creativity. I also gave all my sister's projects they wanted that I had stitched for them for christmas the first year I started. One sister almost cried she was so appreciative. I simply love seeing the joy that my creativity can bring my family members and those I care about. My largest project took two months, working on almost every day and it was such a joy to finish it. I love stitching so much I have a hard time putting it down because I'm so eager to see the finished product. Anyway, congrats for not giving up and finishing what sounds to me like a beautiful project!

Hi ema1983, Very happy to listen from about the splendid gift you have made for your father. Its really appreciateive to make the gifts with our own hands and gift them to the loved ones. I think this might the best gifts out of which your father got . And this is your best one beside others right. I think the only gift that daughter can give dad a gift is her love and it is never bargained. The gift you have made is very perfect one and i think your dad can make out your effort by seeing your gift for him. keep smiling and happy earning buddy...all the best and god bless you dear..:)
