The newer a phone is and the more expensive it is the worst quality it is. I bought a very cheap phone from Metro PCS and it's the best phone i've ever had. I paid a few hundred dollars for a blackberry and dropped it one time and it broke and stopped working. I think it's ridiculous how much money we pay for these "nice" cell phones that end up breaking after a little wear and tear.

hi, As the technology is advancing phones are getting sleeker and sleeker and smaller and smaller. The current fashion in phone industry demand that they should have everything in them, MP4, 5 megapixel camera, big memory, beautiful looks and delicate feel. Now the weight of the original Siemens which i brought in 1997 must be more than 5 times i have now. It had basically call feature, phone book and sms. So with all the features plus looks you have to sacrifice somewhere , though it is true i would like to have them sturdy but Nokia is still best. I have dropped my N73 quite a few times and it is still working fine.

I am agree with you, With added high technology that have been mentioned by you before, we should be careful with our handset. More features that have been added then the more we had to care. This highly technology progress have much more positive manner than weakness issue about physical design

hi amangf, I would like my phone to be sturdy too and not break up easily. And i think Nokia phones are still sturdy. They may not be as sturdy as they were when model no 5210 was their best selling models and i said before, i have dropped my N73 many a times and it worked fine, i dropped even on hard floor ( not intentional) and its all parts went flying like back cover and battery but when i put them again , it worked fine.
