Sailor Moon - season 4 in america?

so my girlfriend got all 5 sailor moon seasons uncut and it is both in english and japanese up to the stars season. i was wondering, was season four ever shown in america or was is simply translated? also, the episode where haruka and michiru return was not on the dvds, but on youtube. is there any explanation for that?

Season 4 was shown in America edited as Michiru and Haruka were dubbed "cousins" for reasons that I think are obvious. As for why the episodes weren't on DVDs prior to Viz's dub, I'm not sure.
