Have you seen the Sears commerical where the husband asks about a washer dryer set because his wife told him to shop around All day for the best deals. and when the salesman shows him he could find it out right at Sears, the husband Has to hang out at Sears all day? or the teen vitamin where for the boys it helps with muscles and girls with their skin? With the first one I have a huge issue. What wife would send her husband alone to price a washer dryer set? doesn't she like to shop/ Isn't she going to use the washer and dryer too? This commerical doesn't make that sense. As for the second. isn't there male teen that want good skin and female who wants strong muscles?

the first one is not meant to be taken seriously, the message is you don't have to shop all day to get the best quality just come to sears. The reason they did it that way was that women are usually the ones to shop around for the best price, men more often just buy what they like, they could have made the same add with the woman coming to sears but then the message would not have come across that you don't have to shop all day, and that was what they were getting at, well for the second one it is showing biological differences, women love to have nice skin, a man in general don't care about pimply skin etc and do girls what to be bodybuilders? no, but that is the dream for many young boys, girls dream about being pretty, nice skin, so that is fine with me, if you are going to be that critical about commercials, which you either accept or don't as a consumer, then all commercials would be pretty darn dry being afraid of putting anything in it other than buy this product it is good, they make them different to capture people's interest, hoping that people will buy the product they know that nobody is going to buy a product just because a man is shopping at sears or a boy wants muscles, but if people see the commercials and were interested actually watched them and remember the brand names then that is when they have a chance of selling their product.

of course but most girls want better skin, than men as I said, and more boys are concerned about muscles than girls as I said and they go by that, as I said if you want to criticize every commercial there will be something to find, and they do have government standards they have to follow, but if you took out all the fun, or stupidity in commericals there would be nothing but technical stuff and nobody would watch them and these people buy big money for people to see their commercials. They have to make them so they stand out, and case in point these commercials stood out for you because you are talking about them that is exactly what they want.

There are many commercials that are either sexist or some other thing. There used to be one that made parents look bad to there kids compared to some sinister looking guy all in black. I actually called the company about that one.
