It is always so fascinating to listen to music from different countries, different rythm, tones, instruments, voices. I always try to get music CD's when I travel to different parts of the world, and I listen to them often too. How about you ? Do you like listening to music from different countries Too ?

Yes, it is amazing what foreign cultures can offer. I like to listen to a variety of styles and instruments, because that keeps you inspired to create art yourself and informed in a way about other cultures.

I have several Mandarin and Japanese songs that I like...I don't speak either language and don't know most of what their saying but the songs have a great melody and are relaxing to listen to. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I really enjoy listening to music from different countries. My Polish friend sent me some pop music from his home country and it was excellent. If I hear a piece of music that is from a particular country it can be fascinating for me. The steel drums in the Caribbean make me feel happy and relaxed. The Arabian type of music makes me think of the desert. I love most of all to listen to the pan pipes of South America.

Yes, I like to listen to music from other countries, too. I don't get that opportunity much any more since I don't travel as much as I used to. I just listen to country music all the time or listen to the oldies on youtube. I went to the Bahamas in 1990 and I bought a tape of the music they play down there. It was of a band with the steel drums. The main reason why I bought this tape was because I thought I might have trouble describing to mother what it was like. I thought it would be a good idea if she could hear it. Kathy.
