why is it so hard to forget our first love??

It has been around 8 years since I clashed with my ex-boyfriend.. Although I got new boyfriend (bf), I still remember him.. I still want to update myself about him.. And I managed to know that he already engaged with someone.. I try to forget him, but I can't.. Why?????
