The Terminator Series

Is anyone else here a fan of the Terminator movies? Right now I have only seen the first three. I want to see Salvation but I haven't yet. The first two are my favorites of the three I've seen. Honestly, I was disappointed with Terminator 3 and how it turned out. I guess at least part of it had to do with the fact it seemed too comical to be a Terminator movie. As someone in a fan made movie on YouTube said, "...humor that is atypical of a movie about about the end of civilization". I guess I still liked the movie, but no where near as much as the first two. For anyone who has seen it, how was Salvation?

I thought Terminator Salvation was mostly filler... a made to make money kind of movie. Don't get me wrong, it was very entertaining, but it was no masterpiece. You'll get a kick out of it if you are a Terminator fan, but anybody else will just wonder why the hell they are watching this garbage. Cheers!

I've heard quite a few people on IMDb say how they were kind of disappointed by the movie. So I can se your sentence about people who are fans vs those who are not being true. I'm sure I'll be one of the people who will get a kick out of it. I'm just glad they didn't go with that horrible original ending I hear they were actually planning on using.

Salvation was really good. It had a couple things about it that I thought could have been done a little different....not gonna tell you what they are cause I don't want to ruin it for you...but they were minor. It's certainly worth going to see and it'll make a nice addition to my DVD collection as well as to the other three Terminator movies. I thought it tied in well with the first two movies and it even left me wondering if there might be a sequel to it. It kinda left itself open for that. And like another mylotter said about the first movie, Salvation definitely has a rawness to it. It's even more raw than the first one, I think. Go see it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to be adding it to my DVD collection. Especially since I own the first three. I hope I can see it but even if not, I'll at least get to see it on DVD.

I am a big fan of Terminator 1 and 2, I grew up watching these films so they will always have a special place in my heart. I was not too impressed with number 3, to me it seemed like it had turned into a parody of itself. But I have definitely see much worse films then that, if it is on television I will most likely watch it again. I am yet to see Terminator Salvation. I will be waiting until I can get it on DVD.

I agree with pretty much everything you say especially when it comes to the third in the series. It just felt like it was spoofing itself at times and in doing so did not live up to the impressive standards of the first two. For me I enjoy the first one the most as it has a sort of rawness too it, where as the second has too much of a commercial, big budget blockbuster feel about it. I've not seen Salvation either yet and will probably have to wait till its dvd release before I get too watch it, but then it will be a great excuse for a complete Terminator-fest.

Yeah, like I said, I think that was my biggest problem with T3 is that it seemed like it was just more of a parody of itself. It just didn't seem to fit in with T1 and T2. Especially the whole Sgt. Candy deleted scene. Likely I won't see Salvation until it's out on DVD too.

I love the terminator series and terminator II has been my all time favorite. Though i have not watched terminator salvation i'm not sure how interesting it would be without arnold schwarzenegger. Hope he has a special appearance in the movie :)

It is a spin-off from the Terminator series of films. It revolves around the lives of the fictional characters Sarah and John Connor, following the events....
