Secret Societies...a scam???

A couple years ago, when I was more naive and vulnerable, I got something in the mail stating that I qualified for a special membership in a secret society called The Nouveau Society. I thought I was so special, so I paid the $35 to join, and they sent me a huge book about the size of an unabridged dictionary. (If I was so special, why did I have to pay??? Anyway, I was pretty stupid, and trying to earn money at home the fast way...HA!!! LOL!!!) This book is insane! It tells you all about life, making money, love, business, it covers everything! Seems like these people are such experts...And it's only the First Edition! I would have to pay for the next edition! Needless to say, I didn't, but I still have this silly book, cos it's so unbelievable I have to laugh. Might as well get my $35 out of it. Were you ever invited to a secret society? Or do you belong to any others? I know there are some legit ones out there, and they're a little bizarre. Happy day to ya!!

wow! that's crazy. i've never heard of such a thing. that book sounds like it would be an interesting read. i'd like to have it sitting on my coffee table so that me and my friends can pick it up and laugh at it from time to time. at least you have a good outlook about it!

i know what you mean. i think the same one tried to suck me in also. by that time tho i had already been scammed by a lot of different phychics, etc. theres still more. but like me you've learned the hard way now.
