myspace counting picture views now?

if you go to myspace and view your own pictures, now it will give you a number under each picture telling you how many times it's been viewed. i don't think it's completely accurate though, because there are a few pics that have been on my myspace forever so i know they've been viewed more than 11 times, for example. why do you think they started showing us how many times our pics have been viewed? and how long have they been keeping track of the views for? i'm embarrassed because there are good pictures of me on other people's myspace pages that i'd go and look at from time to time. now those people will see how often i've gone and checked myself out! does this bother anyone else?? i don't really care how many views my own pics have gotten, though, because it seems like the numbers are inaccurate. what do you think?

Hi jt,
Yes i guess they asked the user whether they want to c it or not. And from that day they started counting the no of views of that pic. I c it in my pics there and I find it amusing actually. Some pics of mine have more than 20 views and still no comments, which makes me think that people must have seen it and said" Opps what a crap" 
.
Anyways i like to c my friends pic in myspace and its a fun site so everything is fine.

i never knew about it until yesterday and it freaked me out. and i'm sure your friends don't think that about you! they probably just think it's a really good pic so they feel compelled to look at it but then they just don't know what to say. i know i do that a lot! anyway thanks for the response!

I knew that they had put the numbers up there & I also think that the numbers are wrong because I was at a friends house on her profile she wanted to see my pics..so we went and looked but it shows no views after I went back and looked on mine.
I also hope they don't start showing who has viewed your pics because that could be very emberassing for alot of people both ways

Wow I did not notice this on myspace. I really don't spend that much time there anymore, and guess I'm not really paying attention. I will have to go check it out because I just put up a bunch of new pics.

ya i checked my myspace images that i have and i noticed that. its kind of cool to see that. it tells me how many people have viewed my images. it lets me know what images people like and wanted to see better. the cool thing would be is if i could find some way to make money off of the amount of people that view my images that i have posted on there. ya i too have images that haven't gotten any views yet, but its all good.
