As my favourite reggae artiste sang,blessed is the hand that giveth not the hand that taketh,its truly a blessing to give because then we receive two folds of what we gave.But remember that the giving should be done whole-heartedly and not like some of us do.There are people who gives to us just to make us look bad or make themselves look good.There is this lady that i know who is a typical one.The gift of giving also allow people to take advantage of you.

i completely agree with you. The gift of giving is not everyone's cup of tea and you need to have a BIG heart (and hand) to do that. But as you said there are many (many and many more) who try to take advantage of your good heart.
Once you start giving it becomes a claim and you become the giver everytime. But i do love giving to the needy - because you don't expect anything in return and they will respect you for what you have done :)

Feeding or giving to the needy is something that is good,they dont try and take advantage of you like normal people who can afford does.They will take from you a piece of bread whilst they usually have a loaf.
