how often do you vacuum?

I have three kids under 5 and a dog, and I stay home at home, I vacuum about 3 or more times a day...lol!
I am pretty sure this is too much, but MY significant other, hates when there is anything on the floor and to be honest, so do I.
When I was a kid my mom vacuumed once a week. I think how often you do is based on your lifestyle, and the people in the house.
How often do you vacuum?

Only me, hubby and my stepson here....we have ceramic tile floors in every room except the bedrooms where we have carpet. I vaccuum twice a week. Now--ask how often I have to sweep and mop.....lol....

What I usually do is sweep pretty much every day...mop every two or three days but on the weekend when I am doing the "real" cleaning, I sweep, mop...let it dry and sweep again to make sure I got all the yuckies....lol...takes forever but looks good when I am done. Luckily our livingroom has a huge area rug so that takes up a lot of the time and I only need to worry so much about the dining room, kitchen and bathroom....ugh, I HATE cleaning the bathroom.

So good to see you back online! Well, I vacuum all the time. We've two children under five, and a cat! I just can't stand things on the floor so I'm always running it in the morning. Maybe I'm too picky about it, but I just want my house to be free of debris. I don't mind the kids toys being out, but I abhore dirt! So, I clean a lot!

In my house the whole downstairs is tile and then the stairs and the bedrooms upstairs all have carpet!! I only have to vacuum twice a week since no one wears theirs shoes on the carpet and no food goes upstairs so it works out well. On the other hand I spend a lot of time trying to keep the tile clean and with so much it takes awhile but with two young kids it works great not having carpet downstairs so if there is an "accident" it is much easier to handle and clean up on tile than try and get the stains out of the carpet.
