To understand the nephilim you must first read the older account of this story, the story as it was originally told 4000 years before Moses wrote it down. The first civilization, the first kingdom on earth was Sumer. The Sumerians were the original authors on the flood story, and the "Sons of God" The Nephilim are taken from the Anunnaki, there were three classes of gods, the bottom cast of the gods were the anunnaki, these lessor gods did all the work for the other gods. But they began to complain about having to do so much work in the "garden", So on of the greater gods took the essence of a male anunnaki and placed it with in the egg of an "Ape Woman" and from her was born humans so that they could work in the garden. This caused some stir among the gods though. Well anyway, in the stories of the Sumerians, these gods came from another world, they did not live on earth, but only used earth for its resources. The ancient writings from the Indus Vally also tell of gods who warned against each other and against man. So to answer your question, I would say these Nephilim are not extra terrestrials, but interdimensional beings, that regularly visit this world. Remember a world does not have to mean a different planet, but can also mean a different reality. There abilities would seem to suggest this. For example, mind reading, knowing ones thoughts, the reason I beleive these beings were able to do this is simple. look at our realm or world as on one side of a sheet of paper, we can not (yet) go to the other side of the paper, but sometimes with certain conditions we can see the shadow of something on the other side of the sheet of paper. These beings are able to descend through the paper and appear on the otherside, and can occupy both realms or realities. Thus they can also occupy the same space as yours, something like possession. This way they can actually read your thoughts. The ability to appear and disappear at well. again this can be don by simply moving out of our plain and back into their's, they haven't gone anywhere, they are still in the same place but not in our world or reality. I beleive thought they are dependent on technology to do this. UFOs are not a 20th century fanning, it has been recorded though out our existence on earth, flying vehicles, lights in the sky etc. have been written about for many thousands of years. I do have one more hypothesis, I do not beleive they are able to sustain their existence on this plain for long periods of time though. And I beleive this is where the sacrifices come in to play. Many of the gods demanded large sacrifices, and some asked for blood. I beleive they need blood to sustain themselves in our plain for long periods of time, some would even flail humans so that their flesh could be used to "Clothe" themselves to look more human, because the gods had very terrible and frightening appearances. But when man was created, this caused some controversy among the gods (or species of gods) and some wanted man to be autonomic, sense they were different now from the animals, and some gods wanted man left alone to grow on their own, but others wanted to enslave man and use them as slaves. a war broke out between the gods, and finaly a truce was made, but it was broken later, when some of the lessor gods who were left in place to monitor man and keep the peace between the gods broke the most sacred law, the had children with human women. The offspring were very terrible, with almost god like powers given to them from their fathers DNA, the men of earth were no match for them and the Nephilim began to rule over man. Well I could go on but this is already a mini book lol.

hello again, the term "the watchers" was given to these beings for a reason, do you think they still are?, watching i mean..

Of course they are. But not the originals that rebelled, as they are imprisoned at this time. This is mentioned a few times in the new testament, "those who left their first estate" and also in the prophecies that "an angle" would be released from the pit, whose name is Abaddon, (destroyer). The watchers and the Nephilim will return, this can be found in the prophecy of Jesus who said that the end of days would be "as in the days of Noah". meaning the "Sons of God" would return and try yet again to enslave and desire men into serving them.

I think the nephilim are neat. I read the Fallen Series by Thomas Sniegoski. The series is very intersting. He talks about how Nephilim are half angel half human. They are the product of the angels who fell to earth having"relations" with human woman. The women die giving birth to these children. The children are called Nephilim and on there 18 birthday the recieve there powers. A angel army called the Powers are sent to destory the Nephlim. The fallen series centers around one Nephilim Aaron who is by a prophecy the Nephilim that has the power to restore and send the fallen angels back to heaven. I know that they are mentioned in the bible. It is believed that is why God cause the great flood of Noah, to wipe them all out.
