My daughter is 7, and I don't let her walk by herself yet. It's about 20 minutes, but there are two very dangerous roads she has to cross; I'm wondering if I'm ever going to feel comfortable going by herself. I walked to school by myself from age 5, but we lived in a much less busy place.
