monopoly

i used to love playing monopoly when i was a kid, seemed to be nearly everyweekend we used to play, i always used to be the banker and cheat when i was running out of money thats why the game always went on for hours, but if you play properly it will last an hour or two. Any my brother bought me a new board few christmases ago and it has never been used because no-one wants to play the game? what was the point in buying it then?

my daughter loves this game. she loves to play it when we have a family fun day (she is 12), we usually play the short version of the game (we divide up the properties and each person gets some), but my hubby collects monopoly stuffs (old games etc) and he has quite a collection too!
