I love cats and kittens, they are great company and bring me a lot of joy but my fiancee has an extreme dislike of them. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice as to how I can convince her that cats are playful and joyous to own and get her to agree for me to be able to own one? She has a dog and I was also wondering if anyone has heard of a rottweiler getting along with a cat?

I agree with eszbonna that the best thing would be a compromise. And no i've never heard of a rottweiler getting along with a cat, but if the rottweiler and the cat were raised together or if the rottweiler (or any dog) was raised to accept cats i'd think it's possible for them to get along

get her to hand out with my cats lol. they are so adorable that people ether get scared (they are also huge) or fall in love with them. honestly though, you have to find someone with an extra smart and loving cat and show it to your fiancée. as for rottweiler, it depends on the dog and the cat, all rottweilers are different. it's easier if it's a puppy so it grows up with a cat, but sometimes even a grown up dog can learn to love a good cat. I think in my house dog would be the one worried about getting along with the cats, they were able scratch so much that people would bleed all over the place when they were little.
