When I frist saw the movie, I didn't even know there was a book. Now, the author-Chuck Palahniuk- is my ultimate fav writer. Fight Club the book was awesomeeee, and so were Lullaby, Choke, Invisible Monsters, Haunted, Snuff and all his other books. They all have the same kind of story line, but each one has unique characters and different semi-subliminal messages.

When I heard there was a book too, I knew I had to read it. The only problem is that my library in town didn't have it. I ended up getting my mom (I was about 14 at the time) to drive about 30 minutes away so I could get the book from another town's library. I could have ordered it through my library and waited a week or so to get it, but I didn't want to! I had to read it twice though before I fully understood it. Palahniuk's "voice" is a little difficult to understand. About 3/4 of the way through I finally got used to his style, but by then I had to reread the first part. For anyone who loves the movie, you should defiantly give the book a try. It's been almost 3 years since I read this last...I think it's time to return my overdue books so I can have borrowing privileges, and get this one again!

As good as the movie is it pales in comparison to the book. That is saying alot considering how godly the movie is. Fight club is the reason I got into mma.

I read the book, and liked it. And then I read Lullaby and liked it, then I tried another, and it was pretty much the same style of writing, and I kind of gave up on his writing. Choke did make a good movie though.

I also didn't know there was a book until after I had seen the movie. I haven't read the book. Usually if there is book as well as a movie I prefer to see the movie only after having read the book. No particular reason, why, but I usually prefer that. But I'm still interested in reading the Fight Club book. I thought the movie was very interesting and I assume there is probably stuff in the book that didn't fit into the movie.
