steven spielberg is undoubtedly best director..........his best muvi list include empire of the sun,schindlers list,indiana jones 1,2,3,4 etc....

Me and my hubby love to watch Speilberg's movies.I am his huge fan.He is no doubt a good director,one of the best.

I think, Spielberg is the most universally known director of his generation but still far from the best... even him would agree to that... He is famous for his blockbuster movies contribution but for a more deeper movie w/ deeper story, I would say guys like Francis Ford Coppola, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorcese are among the best directors out there... Not to mention Peter Jackson who directed the mega blockbuster The Lord of the Ring Trilogy & James Cameron for the Titanic & Terminator 1 & 2...
