vista vs linux

hi anand, comparing vista or any other microsoft products with linux is waste...linux is a great os...but it is not popular inn home edition...there is no chance of virus entering into system,as it detects the virus in the booting stage itself....but microsoft has lot of multimedia features too...

I think VISTA is best for any system. Because there are so many features that make it out of box.It is totally different from Windows XP ,in security & also in look.In comparison with Linux :------ i want to say that i had installed linux & also fedora in my system but after using these OS i had to format my system just in 3 days.I could not work on it. There are so many reasons for it. security , Reliability & also avery bad user interface

windows operating system are completely different from linux, unix or anyother from sun.. windows is user friendly..but u have to run a very high definitionpacked anti virus program to protect ur machine from the virus, but in case of linux, no need to worry abt the security..but its some how difficult to operate, but once if u enter and start working, u will feel that linux is also better. happy to respond.. happy mylotting..
