India won five odi series in a row under the captaincy of dhoni as the fourth odi got washed off. Dhoni surpassed the previous best of four successive series wins achieved under the leadership of saurav ganguly. After the t20 world cup many people criticised dhoni's captaincy especially here on mylot. What are your views now?

For note, under Ganguly's captaincy, not only Indian team was in shackles but also full of ego filled cricketers. After Dhoni's introduction look at the number of youngsters being introduced in the Indian Team. Dhoni has proven to be the best captain India has ever had. Remember he is the only captain after Kapil Dev to bring home a World Cup. And he now has become the only Indian captain to ever win 5 series in a row. AND not to forget he is the first captain in decades to lead a team that defeated Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and West Indies in their respective home countries. Dhoni is the BEST CAPTAIN, a FINE SPORTSMAN and a SENSIBLE BATSMEN.

yuvraj singh, harbhajan singh, kaif wer all youngsters when they were included in the side under the leadership of ganguly. they had the backing of ganguly which is why they performed so well. it was under his leadership that they made such a name for themselves.

im not quite convinced tat india emerged as the better team.....wi were a touch superior in evry depatment.....it was another time when dhoni banked on youth & they failed miserably.....this isnt any way close to wins we had in Australia , Srilanka , nz......one of the most disappoinment was ishant sharma...managed to tkae only a wicket inthe entire series , but comeback hero Ashish nehra was quite good....the positives out of the tournament are...1) from of yuvi ....2)Harbhajan useful contribution in the lower order......3) Aashish Nera bowling......

let us not forget India did not have their premier bowler and both their opening batsmen. abhishek nayar even made his one day debut which shows india did not have a full strength squad. ishant sharma has not been in good form but just as he was looking good in the fourth odi rain played spoilsport. he still has a tri series to get his rhythm going before the champions trophy. a win in any case is still a win and west indies had more experienced players than India and their bowling department was better as well. but even for them their spinner benn did not bowl well in the same way sharma did not bowl well for India. i would not say west indies were superior. they looked superior only in the second match.

All those who criticised dhoni`s captaincy are opportunity seekers. They will be looking to criticise someone no matter who ever it is. Nothing good is going to happen due to their criticism. They can`t do anything constructive towards the welfare of the team. The main reason to be blamed for the current problems in the team is the media. The media exaggerated the Sehwag issue which was nothing but a normal injury. All these measures made look like Dhoni is responsible for throwing Sehwag out of the team. Dhoni is the best captain Indian team has ever had. With tactics and cool mindedness, he has outrun Azhar as a captain. Surely the Indian team will make its comeback.

I am a little bit careful in rejoicing here.It is the case its 2-1. But if yesterday's match was played, it could have been something different. Also India was not on very good touch this series.

even west indies team has not been in good form. they have not won a one day series this year. so the same can be said about them. it could have been 3-1 in favour of India too. out of the two India managed to come out top in the first three matches and were rewarded for it.

As an Indian and a cricket buff, I am really happy to see the result. If a team loses it loses and if it wins it wins. Most fans don't go in the details as to how the team has won. A unique performance like the ones delivered by Sachin or Yuvraj are the talk of the town for some days and then all is forgotten. The same has happened on this tour. I don't think the win is that convincing. The upper order batsmen like Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma need to do a lot of self introspection.

Well done to Dhoni and the rest of the boys. A big acheivement for Indian cricket. They have proved that they can win anywhere in the world. The critics were out on Dhoni for one blunder, I hope he has answered their questions, especially with his own bat. Hes done a lot of work with this lot, but there is a lot more room to improve and lot more to achieve. The Champions Throphy is coming up, hope they do well!

Yes, it is a great win for Indian team as after the second ODI , it looked as If it might be difficult to win this series. Of course, the last match was washed out . However, India would at least have drawn the series even if they had lost that match . Regards

Ya, I accept that he is good Captain for India....He played well in this series....But his batting style and quality is the one I dislikes him...His shots will not look like a genuine batsman's Shots...Anyway nice to see India wining and his comeback in his batting form....

My friend if someone is blaming on Dhoni and his captaincy for T20 world cup loss then its their own perceptiopn.Dhoni's captaincy is always been the best. The win over Windies shows the media and the critics that the team is still a formidable one. This team has won the CB series,T20 world cup,Idea cup,NZ tour and now Digicel cup. Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar quoted that "This is the best batting line up in which I am a part of".This team can do more unbelievable things under the excellent captaincy of digicel cup man of the series, world no.1 MS Dhoni.
