Today is the Michael Jackson memorial at the Staple Center in Los Angeles,CA. In my neck of the woods its all anyones talking about. I would have loved to have been there. I hope everything goes okay. You know as much as I would like to see it go off with out a hitch I am doubtful. I only pray I am wrong. It is sad to know that we wont be entertained by this musical genious anymore. I did love him since I first played the album "OFF THE WALL". I remember sitting in my living room playing the record and singing along. I would use a spoon as a microphone. I will be watching the memorial today at least part of it. I will be saying good bye in my own way. Are you going to watch?

Ofcourse i am going to watch the Michael Jackson memorial service! I wouldn't miss it for the world. He may have passed away, but his title of 'King of Pop' and his music will live on forever! It was tearful especially the speech from Paris Jackson.

I was completely touched by the entire presentation. It showed how many people really and truly loved Michael Jackson. His children's sorrow will not end today. It will be hard for them now. We must pray for them..dl

My husband and I did not watch. We are not MJ fans (OK liked the stuff he did as a kid, but not that interested in when he became a musical icon, or whatever people want to call him), so we did not watch. Besides, when something is in all the news everywhere, it gets boring and tiresome after a while.

No. I don't really watch any memorial services of famous people. Strange, but the memorial for Sonny Bono sticks in my head. It seemed like it was on every news channel. I'm sure the one for Michael Jackson will probably be on way more channels, news or not.

I didn't watch it because it is quite late here in my side because of the different time zone. But I know I can watch some parts from it from the news and it's alright. I think it's better for me to watch his MTV or concerts again.

I am a New Zealander and we received great coverage of the Michael Jackson memorial from the Staples center on our main TV channel. It certainly appeared from what we saw, that everything went off very well. The presentation was slick, the guest artists were magnificent and the music-- well what can you say--it brought back all sorts of memories of days gone by. As a tribute to Michael I believe it was very well done and although everyone is naturally upset and mindful of the sadness surrounding his departure,I believe it was an ideal way to pay a tribute to his greatness. rexlie1

You said it well my friend. It was a true testamony to iconic greatness. Everybody there has truly experienced Michael Jackson. His children represented their dad so proudly. I know MJ would have been touched by all the hoopla. RIP MJ
